Practical local action on climate, nature and waste
Creating positive change in Silsden through community-led climate action. Here’s what that looks like.
All welcome
Nearly 40 addresses in Silsden will, from 11am – 3pm on Sept 13, have a stall outside their house where they will be selling everything and anything that they no longer need — books, clothes, houseplants, toys, homewares, garden tools – the list is endless. Registrations to have a stall have ended but you can now access a digital or paper map to help you to plan your route around Silsden to find the stalls. You can pick up some bargains while helping to reduce waste. The digital map is here – you can use it on your phone as you go around – or you can pick up a copy of the paper map at Silsden Post Office or Olive and Green.
A meeting, open to all, to discuss ongoing work and future plans for the biodiversity group. Get in touch for venu.
We focus on three areas where local action makes a genuine difference.
We work across three areas where local involvement makes a genuine difference: biodiversity and green spaces, home energy, and zero waste. Each has its own group of people driving it — organising events, running projects, and welcoming anyone who wants to get involved.
You don’t need any particular skills or background. Most of what we do is straightforward, and all of it is open to anyone in and around Silsden.
We run free information sessions and do home visits to help local households use less energy and pay less too.
We plant, we build habitats & help wildlife thrive in Silsden.
